Horizons

As the first collaborative initiative realized by the Society in 2010, the project RE: In Search of Horizons explores the potential of pairing philosophical texts with particular places. The diverse sites selected for the project include: natural history museums, parks, libraries and industrial wastelands. The resulting archive includes objects, photographic records, and textual documents related to these encounters. This material is assembled in an artist book that records the project in the making, and further evolved into an exhibition display, as well as a live performance that combines image and text in a diptych projection system mirroring the structure of the book.
